The Faculty of Cardiovascular Surgery and Interventional Cardiology

The Faculty of Cardiovascular Surgery and Interventional Cardiology is formed by the decision of the Academic Council of the University on February 25, 2003.

The faculty is located in Bakoulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery where annually the diagnostic and treatment for about 30 thousand patients is performed, from them 15 thousand – in the hospital, where more than 7 500 operations on heart and vessels are carried out, including more than 4 500 operations on heart-lung machine. Scientific and practical potential of the Center, allowing to physicians of various specialties to carry out postgraduate education and training in the sphere of therapeutic, interventional and surgical management of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
