Scientific consultation department carries out the initial reception and consultation of patients who apply to A.N. Bakulev NMRC for cardiovascular surgery of the Russian Ministry of Health.
Highly qualified specialists who are proficient in all methods of modern diagnostics consult patients at SCD. In a short time, SCD doctors establish a precise diagnosis and determine the indications for surgery. SCD is equipped with modern telecommunications equipment, which allows consultations via teleconference.

Tasks of scientific consultation department

Conducting consultations to clarify the diagnosis and determine the indications for surgical treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
Emergency and scheduled specialized consultation and diagnostic aid to the population.
Follow-up of patients with cardiovascular diseases in the outpatient setting in order to carry out the necessary correction of drug therapy and prepare the patient for surgical treatment.
Patients hospitalization to the medical departments of A.N. Bakulev NMRC CVS for surgical treatment.
Post-operative follow-up patients care.

In the scientific consultation department, such examinations as electrocardiography, X-ray examinations, echocardiography, ultrasound dopplerography, Holter monitoring of the electrocardiogram, tests with dosed physical activity are carried out.
