A.N. Bakulev Center is the leader in the number of MRI examinations of the heart and blood vessels in Russia: more than 3.5 thousand patients underwent MRI diagnostics here in 2022.
Our cardioradiologists have the largest database of such examinations in the country and master brilliantly the techniques and decoding of magnetic resonance imaging. Examinations are carried out on the latest generation of devices with a capacity of 1.5 and 3 T (Tesla), equipped with special programs for scanning and processing images of the heart.

What questions does an MRI of the heart answer?
Have I had a myocardial infarction? It allows you to determine the degree of damage to the heart because of a heart attack.
Are there any inflammatory diseases, hypertrophy, or contractility disorders of the heart?
Are there any congenital heart diseases or tumors?
MRI of the heart will also show the presence of scar (dead) tissue in the heart and viable myocardium. This is the most accurate ejection fraction test, measuring the percentage of blood pumped out of the heart with each beat.
A doctor may recommend an MRI of the heart to predict and monitor the heart's response to coronary artery disease treatment such as coronary artery bypass grafting or angioplasty.
