Sphere of scientific and practical interests

The diseases of heart and blood vessels in children, primarily congenital heart defects. Pre- and postnatal diagnostics of congenital heart defects, with an emphasis on neonatal «critical» heart defects, intensive care before and after the surgical stage, issues of rehabilitation in the long-term period after surgical treatment. Comorbid conditions in children with CHD, syndromic forms of congenital pathology of heart and blood vessels.

The author of more than 200 publications which were published in Russia and abroad, 2 patents for medical inventions

Personal achievements

Professor Tumanyan was awarded the commemorative medal «Academician of the RAMS Vladimir Ivanovich Burakovsky» in 2005 for the merits in the development of pediatric cardiology in Russia.
She was awarded the badge of distinction of the Ministry of Health and Social Development «Mercy» in 2006.
Professor Tumanyan was awarded the badge of the Moscow Region Governor for the merits in the organization of the children's cardiological service in the Moscow Region in 2010.
She was the winner of the national award «Vocation» in the nomination «for the creation of a new direction in medicine» in 2010.

She was awarded the title «Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation» in 2010.
