Bakulev National medical research center for cardiovascular surgery of the Russian Ministry of Health, Chairman of the Expert Council of the HAC for therapeutic sciences, Chairman of “Cardiology and visualization in cardiology” panel at the Russian Association of cardiovascular surgeons, board member of the Russian Society of Cardiology, active member of the European Society of Cardiology, member of Commission on Pseudoscience, deputy chief editor of the journal “Creative Cardiology”, member of the editorial boards of a number of journals.

E.Z. Golukhova is the author of 619 scientific papers, including 14 monographs and 6 patents. Under E.Z. Golukhova’s supervision 41 MD and 6PhD theses were defended.

Personal achievements

Elena Zelikovna Golukhova has worked her way up from a junior scientific researcher to Director of A.N. Bakulev National medical research center for cardiovascular surgery of the Russian Ministry of Health.
E.Z. Golukhova’s activities cover a wide range of scientific and clinical issues, including topical issues of modern cardiology, the latest methods of diagnostics and treatment of various categories of cardiac patients, including those who need surgical treatment.
E.Z. Golukhova pays much attention to the development of new methods of diagnostics and treatment of malignant arrhythmias and life-threatening conditions, which are most often the direct cause of deaths in the adult population. The work in this direction has been going on for more than thirty years.
E.Z. Golukhova was the first to develop multichannel surface mapping methods, patterns for differentiated high-tech care for patients with a variety of cardiac and comorbid pathologies, combining optimal drug therapy, open-heart surgery and interventional procedures.
Elena Zelikovna has repeatedly represented Russian science abroad, she is the creator of training courses in cardiology, the author and leader of training certification courses, schools with international participation. E.Z. Golukhova has been organizing the international conference “Creative Cardiology. New methods of heart diseases diagnostics and treatment” together with the European Society of Cardiology since 2003, and since 2013 – the All-Russian Conference with international participation “Cardiology in Cardiac Surgery”.
Elena Zelikovna Golukhova is the laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize for the work "Diagnostics and treatment of complex arrhythmias in children and young people", Academician A.N. Bakulev award winner, winner of the "Best Doctor of the Year" award, winner of the 1st Prize for the best scientific work in cardiovascular surgery “AATS Graham Foundation Excellent Awards”, holder of the Order of Friendship of the RF, winner of A.L. Myasnikov Gold Medal of the RAS for a set of works for the development and implementation of new methods for concomitant cardiac pathology diagnostics and treatment.
In 2020, E.Z. Golukhova was awarded the Order of N.I. Pirogov, certificates of honor from the Ministry of Health of the RF and the Russian Academy of Sciences for conscientious work, high professionalism and great personal contribution to the fight against coronavirus infection COVID-19, she was awarded the title of Honored Doctor of the City of Moscow.
Under the direct supervision of E.Z. Golukhova in 2020, the Center for Medical Care for Patients with Coronavirus Infection (CMPCI) was organized and successfully operated, it was based at the Institute of Coronary and Vascular Surgery of the FSBI “A.N. Bakulev NMRC CVS” of the Russian Ministry of Health.
