Sphere of scientific and practical interests

• Complex diagnostics of cardiovascular pathology.

• Choice of the optimal treatment and surgical technique, prediction of complications and outcomes of surgical treatment in patients with different valve pathologies.

• Diagnostics and treatment of functional or degenerative mitral insufficiency of both ischemic and non-ischemic genesis using minimally invasive technology, «open» surgical interventions.

• Study of right ventricular dysfunction and functional tricuspid valve insufficiency in valvulopathies of left heart chambers.

• Study of features of preoperative preparation, surgical planning and results of surgical treatment of patients with coronary artery disease with comorbid pathology.

• Development of a multidisciplinary approach in myocardial revascularization, depending on patients’ age, comorbid diseases, scope of operative treatment.

• Choice of a hybrid strategy of surgical interventions in brachiocephalic and coronary arteries lesions, aortic and cardiac valve pathology, in patients with comorbid pathology.

• Introduction into clinical practice of new ways to prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications in myocardial revascularization.

Practical skills:

Diagnostics and treatment of various variants of cardiovascular pathology (arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease, congenital and acquired heart defects, cardiomyopathies, heart rhythm disorders, non-coronary myocardial diseases, heart failure).

Differential diagnostics of complex clinical conditions using current non-invasive and invasive examination methods. Perioperative management of high-risk patients with comorbid pathology. Conducting transesophageal echocardiography. Echocardiography-guidance during mitral valve leaflet transcatheter clipping (MitraClip) and other interventions.

Relevant professional experience is more than 15 years. Professor Slivneva is an expert in echocardiography at Russian and international levels.

She is a member of European Society of Cardiology (ESC), American Association of Echocardiography Specialists (ASE), European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging Specialists (EACVI).

Scientific activity

The author of more than 100 scientific papers, which were published in Russia and abroad, 1 monograph and 1 manual, including 1 patent for the invention in medicine.

Associate Professor at the chair of Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics with a course in pediatric cardiology. She regularly conducts lectures and training courses, takes part in scientific schools of the Center.
