DIVISION OF CLINICAL AND INDUSTRIAL TRANSFUSIOLOGY WITH DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY

The Division of clinical and industrial transfusiology with a diagnostic laboratory was founded in 2019 by merging the transfusion department, biochemical laboratory, express diagnostics laboratory, laboratory of clinical microbiology (bacteriology) and antimicrobial therapy.

Currently, the division of clinical and industrial transfusiology with a diagnostic laboratory includes the following units:

Department of blood transfusion

Department of clinical transfusiology

Diagnostic laboratory

Group of clinical microbiology (bacteriology) and antimicrobic therapy of the Diagnostic laboratory

Planning, acquisition, accounting, medical examination of donors;

Procurement (including off-site conditions), processing, storage and ensuring the safety of donated blood and (or) its components.

Transfusion of donor blood and/or its components

The use of blood-saving methods, the use of extracorporeal haemocorrection methods and photohemotherapy;

Conducting of biochemical examinations, examination of respiratory gases, acid-base, water-electrolyte homeostasis and metabolites, studying hemostasis, immunohematological, serological, general clinical, bacteriological studies;

Research and development on transfusiology, clinical laboratory diagnostics, clinical microbiology and antimicrobial therapy.
