Annually, more than 13,000 cardiac and vascular procedures are carried out at A.N. Bakulev Center. More than 4,500 of them are open-heart operations performed on-pump, more than 6,000 are endovascular interventions and more than 2,000 are closed heart operations including operations in aorta, main and peripheral arteries.

A.N. Bakulev Center is a world leader in pediatric surgical care. Annually, 3,300 operations are performed to repair congenital heart deseases (CHDs), about 2,000 under cardiopulmonary bypass, about 1,500 of them are in infants and 400 interventions in newborns.

The Center has its own Division of clinical and production transfusiology which annually makes more than 11,000 donations, harvesting and processing more than 8,000 liters of donor blood.
