How become a patient

The scheme of foreign patients treatment at A.N. Bakulev NMRC for cardiovascular surgery of the Russian Ministry of Health

Step 1— Collection and submission of documents for the application

Collect the necessary medical documents (clinical record, medical reports, examinations data) translated into English or Russian and send us using feedback form on the site. Send the documents to our e-mails: 205_kabinet@bakulev.ru or nko_len@bakulev.ru

We will consider an application and respond during 7-10 days.

Step 2 — "Reply and dialogue" (request for additional documents, if necessary)

After examining the documents, the Center evaluates the cost and duration of treatment. Additional studies or telemedicine consultations may be offered.

The center agrees to the treatment and invites the patient.

Step 3 —Concluding a contract

The patient will be presented with an estimated cost of treatment, in which all items of expenditure are indicated. In addition, patients will be offered additional assistance in obtaining visas, hotel booking, travel arrangements and support throughout their stay in Russia.

Step 4 — Preparation for departure

At this step, the patient prepares the necessary documents for himself/herself and the accompanying person and prepares for the trip on his/her own or with the help of a travel agency.

If a patient wants to prepare travel documents on his own, he is offered the addresses of Russian consulates and other useful information.

Step 5 — Stay in Russia

During the entire period of treatment, the patient may be visited by accompanying people. Except for the resuscitation unit.

Visiting hours for patients in the hospital:

On weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.;

Weekends and holidays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.;

Visiting patients in the intensive care unit is prohibited.

Step 6 — Discharge

After treatment, you can ask a question by e-mail and let your doctor know about your health.
