Sphere of scientific and practical interests

Yuriy Buziashvili offered methods for assessing the relationship between physiological processes of myocardial contraction and perfusion using tissue and contrast echocardiography.
He studies the physiological mechanisms of laser impact on the myocardium, implements transmyocardial laser revascularization.
He was one of the first scientists in Russia and in the world who together with his students began research on angiogenesis, the use of stem cells in cardiovascular pathology.
Professor Buziashvili was one of the first in Russia who initiated the study of the possibilities of diagnosing and treating patients with various forms of acute coronary syndrome in a cardiac surgery hospital.
One of the first in Russia he began to study and introduce into clinical practice in Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan the method of external counterpulsation in the complex treatment of patients with CAD, including complicated chronic heart failure.
He gained huge experience in the field of cardio-oncology, prevention of coronary and heart failure during chemotherapy.
